American LaFrance Eagle

A completely new chassis for fire trucks was introduced in 1997. Eagle custom chassis is equipped with cabs with aluminum panels; and BBC is equal to 134 or 148 inches. Cabs are available with a flat roof or with increased height. A choice of Detroit Diesel Series 60 with a capacity of 435-515 hp or a Cummins ISL with a capacity of 370-400 hp is available.

On the base of this chassis are built pump machines of class F, aerial ladders with length of 50-110′, and tractor drawn ladders (length of 100′ and 105′). Besides of the standard Eagle model, there is a Mid-Engine version of this chassis. It has more cab room and a completely flat floor.
