MAZ SPORTauto racing team announced a new bonneted racing truck MAZ 6440RR

It is based on a proven MAZ 5309RR chassis, but got a bonneted layout. By the way, it will use a fiberglass hood from MAZ 6440 prototype and cabin from MAZ 5340. It is also fitted with a Caterpillar 13 liters diesel engine.

MAZ is planning to make the first prototype by the beginning of 2018. Then it will be tested on several stages of Russian Championship. If everything will be ok, there is a chance to see MAZ 5440RR on Dakar 2019 rally.
