Trucks without drivers from Japan

The developers of the Japanese company NEDO created a system of automatic control of trucks that do not require human intervention.

This development includes a group of radars and video cameras, which are mounted on a convoy of trucks. The trucks moves under the management of the system in the column at a safe distance on the route, which is set by GPS. The presentation of the technology was placed in Ibaraki prefecture in late February. 3 trucks moved at a speed of 80 km\h in a convoy, steadily following the 4-meter distance. Drivers are only observed to occur. NEDO experts said that in the future they plan to work on improving the technology for its mass distribution.
