Aveling-Barford RD017

In the early ’70s, Aveling-Barford upgraded SL340 dump truck. The updated 17-ton model was called RD017. The overall design was the same: large rear wheels, a single cabin and two-way steering.

The new model was equipped with a 6-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel engine Leyland UE680 rated at 200 hp. Transmission – 5 speed forward and 3 speed backwards. Body capacity – 7.6 cubic meters. GWV – 27 tonnes.
