Astra HHD8

In 2010, the new model for extremely off-road conditions HHD8 (Heavy Heavy Duty) was added to the commercial range HD8. Areas of work are deserts and the Siberian forests. The model is available as a 6×6 chassis or tractor.

The trucks are equipped with 480-540 hp engines (Euro3) and can work at temperatures up to +50 C. For the most severe work conditions it is possible to install additional radiators. The customer can choose one of the four types of transmissions: mechanical, semi-automatic Astronic ZF16AS2601OD, automatic Allison HD4700 or hydro-mechanical with WSK converter for the most severe conditions.

Gross combination weight of the vehicle equipped with the hydro-mechanical transmission is up to 250 tons. The new trucks are equipped with the increased dimensionality 14.00R20 or 24.00R20.5 tires.
