Astra BM305 / BM309F

In the early 80s, the legendary strength and reliability of Astra trucks was fully confirmed by the 300 series with a new all-metal cabin by ItalDesign. In 1983, the BM309F (6×6) truck with a GVW of 33 tons, capable of transporting up to 20 tons of cargo or heavy armored vehicles on a flatbed platform, was presented.

Based on it, in 1985, Astra created the BM305 (6×6) tank tracto. It has a top speed of 80 km/h and works in a combination with a 60-ton semitrailer. It was equipped with a FIAT-8280 diesel engines (17.2 liters, 352 hp) or 355-horsepower Mercedes-Benz OM423, a 16-speed gearbox ZF, differentials with electro-pneumatic locking, pneumatic brakes and multi-leaf suspension springs.
