Ashok Leyland NewGen U-series construction

In November 2010 a new construction range has been presented. The lightest models in the new range are U1616T and U1618T (4×2). The first model is equipped with 160 hp engine, while the second with 180 hp engine.

GVW is 16 tons, and the body volume is 8.5 m3. The three-axle dump trucks U2516T and U2518T have GVW of 25 tons and are equipped with the same engines. The volume of body is 14 m3. The range also includes the four-axial model U3123T (8×4) with GVW of 31 tons. It is equipped with 225 hp engine and has the body volume of 19 m3.

The heavy dump truck U2523 has the wheel arrangement 6×4. Total weight of the truck reaches 25 tons. The truck is equipped with an inline 6-cylinder 5.7 liter engine H series with power of 230 hp and torque of 800 Nm. The engine meets the standards BSIII or BSIV. Transmission is a 9 speed, synchronized.

The customer can choose 3 types of dump bodies: 16 cbm box body or half pipe body and 14 cbm rock body. Bodies have a huge canopy that protects the cabin from above. Maximum speed is 80 km / h. So, now a new range of construction tippers includes 6 models with GVW from 16 to 31 tons.
