In a last-ditch bid for survival, Kersey/American LaFrance introduced an all new tilt-cab custom called the Patriot in 1992. Available with a 10-man “Eurostyle” cab, the ungainly-looking Patriot had a massive, sloped windshield designed to give the driver a panoramic view of the road.
The chassis on the Patriot is actually an HME chassis. But such Patriotism wasn’t enough. Kersey/American LaFrance continued to lose money.
