Further development of the American LaFrance company in commercial field was this the largest model Big Chief. Production of such vehicles under the American LaFrance brand name ended in 1929, but after the joint of the American LaFrance and Republic companies production of Big Chiefs was continued under the LaFrance-Republic name.
