KamAZ updates the classic cabin: the first photos

Despite the launch of a model range of trucks with cabins from Mercedes-Benz, the KamAZ factory continues to produce versions with standard classic cabins, which have been in use since 1976.

Demand for them is preserved, and the plant decided to refresh them once again. There are the first photos of KamAZ trucks with the updated cabin.

The current plastic bumper will be replaced with a new steel one with integrated headlights with LED daytime running lights. Interestingly, the bumper is divided into several large segments, which have external bolt fastenings for more convenient repair after an accident.

But the main changes are expected in the interior. Updated trucks will receive a completely new dashboard with modern design, four-spoke steering wheel made by Mercedes-Benz, improved sun visors and rear view mirrors with electric drive and heating. There will be also power windows for the first time on this cabin.

There are no changes in chassis or engine. The trucks will continue to be equipped with diesel engines made by KAMAZ or Cummins (option). Mass production should begin in June.
