The vehicle reflects and elevates the New Daily’s core values – its strength and flexibility – and stands out for its one-of-a-kind features. The New Daily 4×4 comes in two versions, a single cab with two wheelbases (a short 3,050 mm variant and long 3,400 mm variant) as well as a crew cab with a 3,400 mm wheelbase, enabling the transport of a crew of seven persons.
To complete the range, the vehicle is available in two gross weight variants of 3.5t and 5.5t and there is a stripped chassis cowl version, for specific setups with campers, minibuses or other tailored designs. The six-speed overdrive gearbox is coupled with the central transfer box with four low ranges in order to obtain 24 ratios. Thanks to its three differential locks, the New Daily 4×4 is able to tackle any slope and is capable of handling the most severe terrain, without any compromises as regards driving comfort. This is an important aspect if you consider that driving in off-road conditions means dealing with difficult roadways, including routes that are at times quite demanding. Inside, it is as comfortable as an on-road vehicle: the ergonomics of the new seat allows the driver to enjoy the pleasure of driving, thanks to its wide windscreen, the well-positioned controls and instruments in the cab which are clearly visible and within easy reach, and a more efficient climate control system, which is available in both manual and automatic versions.
The New Daily 4×4 provides customers with robustness and durability unrivaled in its class, thanks to its special off-road chassis. Indeed, one of its key strengths is the C-section ladder frame chassis, which has always been typical of the Daily range, enabling customization and guaranteeing robust performance in missions of all types. The front section box structure features a rugged frame, which is able to withstand the high stresses imposed by the most extreme off-road use. Furthermore, the vehicle is equipped with a generous front bumper made out of steel that is divided into three pieces. A rear underrun protection bar is fitted to protect the vehicle and passengers in the event of a rear-end impact. In order not to compromise off-road performance, the underrun protection bar can be raised.
The vehicle is fitted with a 3-liters F1C, EuroVI Heavy Duty engine. This comes with high pressure Common Rail injection, 4 cylinders and a variable geometry turbocharger. The engine delivers a maximum power of 170 hp (125 kw), with a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The legendary strength of this engine allows the New Daily to offer superior performance and reliability even under the most difficult conditions. The combination of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and post-treatment systems (SCR) guarantee the best possible performance in terms of reducing polluting emissions and optimizing fuel consumption. The braking system is the same for both the 3.5t and 5.5t variants, with disc brakes for the front axle and drum brakes for the rear. Moreover, starting from September, the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) will be available to ensure control of the vehicle’s stability.
The vehicle is well suited to all types of missions, with a vast choice of PTOs available on the gearbox and the central transfer box, compatibility with on-road as well as off-road tires, and the ability to front-mount other attachments like winches and snowplows. The New Daily 4×4 is geared up for off-road, for all tracks, for all conditions: on construction sites, for building and maintenance companies – especially at high altitude – and for the fire service.
