The intelligent ZF AMT transmission provides true two-pedal automated operation with all clutch operations and gear shifting being controlled by the transmission. The inclusion of the ZF AS-Tronic is part of the significant product upgrades of the 2010 Hino 700 Series model line-up.
The gear selector lever has positions for single and two-gear up-shifts or down-shifts. The ZF AS-Tronic transmission is 2600Nm-capable and in the Hino 2848 AMT the ZF Intarder 2 integrated transmission retarder is fitted as a standard specification. Gentle brake modulation is made possible by five brake levels.
