Auto Expo 2014: Tata Ace Zip XL
The Tata Ace Zip XL was shown at the Auto Expo 2014. The Ace Zip XL with its extended load-carrying capability would be used for deep-penetration door-to-door goods movement, says Tata.
Compared to the 1,685 mm load-body length of the Ace Zip, the Ace Zip XL’s load-body is 1,875 mm, which is the “largest loading area in the category” according to the company.
The Tata Ace Zip XL is powered by a single cylinder, naturally aspirated, water cooled engine which develops 11.3 hp @ 3,000 rpm and 3.16 kgm @ 1,600-1,800 rpm. It is matched to a 4-speed gearbox. The vehicle’s payload capacity is rated at 600 kg and the it measures 3.21 m long, 1.48 m wide and 1.8 m tall. All four wheels are fitted with drum brakes, and its fuel tank capacity is 10 liters. The gradability of the vehicle is 22 percent.
