The vehicles of that family replaced the Comet series. They are equipped with series H engines (produced under the license Hino) of power 119 hp (1612H), 130hp (1613H0), 165 hp (1616H) and 180 hp (1618). All vehicles are equipped with manual 5-speed gearboxes. There are versions meeting the local ecological standards Bharat Stage II, Bharat Stage III and Bharat Stage IV (the Model 1618).
