BMC Aktan

BMC unveiled the Battlefield Aircraft Fuel Tanker, a military fuel tanker developed as part of the Fuel Tanker Project (AKTAN), at the IDEF 2019. It is designed for refueling aircraft and helicopters in the field and can carry up to 12,000 liters of fuel.

BMC Aktan can pump fuel from its tank to the fuel tanks of the aircraft, as well as pump it out of the tanks and transfer it to any other location. The vehicle is capable of refueling up to four aircraft at the same time. The tank is specially positioned at a slope in order to completely pump out all the fuel if necessary. It also has baffles to prevent swaying while driving. The tank body is made of aluminum alloy and coated with ballistic sealing material and flame retardant paint.

The dimensions of the tanker allow it to be transported not only on railway platforms, but also by A400M transport aircraft.

The tanker is powered by a 6-cylinder Cummins ISM440E20 diesel engine rated at 434 hp and 2100 Nm of torque. The engine is combined with an Allison 4000 6-speed automatic transmission and a ZF VG 2000 transfer case. This allows the all-wheel drive truck to accelerate to 90 km/h.
