Autocar D / N / C / S / T

In 1936, all conventional trucks Autocar were updated. Trucks received a new wood-metal DeLuxe Cab and an updated front end, including a new grille, hood and cowl. The range included new models and updated old versions.

The range started with the family D, which included two basic models: D with a GVW of 11 tons and a 5.9-liter 85 hp engine; and DF with a GVW of 12 tons and a 6.6-liter 97 hp engine. The wheelbase of both models could be from 4160 to 4622 mm.

Dump trucks DP and DH with the same engines (85 and 97 hp, respectively) were also added to this range. There was also a 3-axle version DF 6×2 with a GVW of 16 tons and DF 6×4 with a GVW of 15,8 tons.

A heavier family N consisted of the base model N with a GVW of 13 tons with 97 hp engine; a special chassis NFS with the same engine, NF with a GVW of 13,5 tons and a 7.4-liter 108 hp engine and tri-axle version NF 6×2 with a GVW of 18 tons.

CE model had a GVW of 13,6 tons and was equipped with 108 hp engine. S and C dump trucks with GVW of 13,6 tons and 18 tons, respectively, differed by the engine power – 108 and 123 hp.

At the top of the updated model range was the family T. It included the basic model T with a GVW of 16 tons (4×2) and 20 tons (6×2) and 123 hp engine, a special chassis TS with 108 hp engine, as well as three-axle models – TD, TO, TC (all 6×4).

The T family also included a range of tractors: 1TR (14,5 tons, 85 hp), 2TR (16 tons, 97 hp), 3TR (18 tons, 108 hp), 4TR (20 tons, 108 hp) and 5TR (22,7 tons, 123 hp). By 1940, the indexation of trucks was changed. Autocar ceased production of commercial vehicles during the Second World War. It resumed only in 1944.
