Astra HD8

The most popular Astra HD7 range was updated in 2005 and became known as HD8. The cab design has been updated – the doors now have small windows on the bottom, and the front mask got a new design.

There were versions with sleeper cabins. The bumpers have also been restyled. The IVECO-Cursor-13 engines (F3B E0681 series) now comply with Euro-4 environmental standards, although trucks with Euro-3 environmental standards are shipped to some countries. Engine power range is 320, 360, 400, 450, 500, 540 hp. The trucks, as before, were offered with wheel configurations from 4×2 to 8×8.

2008 — Facelift

In 2008, Astra introduced the updated HD8. The facelifted trucks received a new black front grille, as well as a new cab suspension on 4 shock absorbers and 4 springs. Damping characteristics of the cab and driver’s seat were optimized to increase driver’s comfort. Characteristics of the cab suspension can vary depending on 5 preloaded programs in memory – depending on the driving style and type of road surface.
