By the end of 1960s, the model range Avia was expanded by a new Avia 4000 with Perkins 4.203 70 hp engine and 4-speed manual gearbox. Curb weight — 2400 kg, payload — 4200 kg, GVW — 6600 kg.
There was a choice of wheelbase: 2600 (4000 B), 3000 (4000 L) and 3300 mm (4000 SL). Overall dimension — 5180, 5700 and 6100 mm, respectively. The all-metal cabin was unified with other models of the company. Its design was slightly updated in 1973. Top speed — 92 kph. Tires — 7,50-16.
