Chevrolet C65 / D60 ’64
In 1964, the company introduced a completely new generation of Brazilian trucks, the C65. The new cab and front-end design refreshed the vehicle’s exterior. The truck had a gross weight of 8,845 kg. It was still powered by the proven American 6-cylinder gasoline engine, rated at 142 hp, and equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission.
The C65 range included two versions, the C64 and C65, which differed in wheelbase. The former had a 3,975 mm wheelbase, while the latter had a 4,432 mm wheelbase.
In 1966, the D60 range of diesel models was added to the gasoline-powered lineup. It also included two versions: the D64, with a 3,975 mm wheelbase, and the D65, with a 4,432 mm wheelbase. The 6-cylinder diesel engine developed 120 hp and was paired with either a 4- or 5-speed manual transmission.
