Chevrolet Series 6500 ’57
1957 -
1958
The first Brazilian-made Chevrolet truck rolled out of the gates of the General Motors do Brasil factory in 1957 and was designated as the 6500 Series. The truck was a kind of hybrid of the North American version. For example, the cab was developed in Brazil but resembled the cab of the 1948 U.S. Chevrolets. However, the hood was based on the design of the new 1955 model-year trucks, although it was significantly revised to suit the warmer climate. These trucks were produced for only one year and were replaced by an upgraded model in 1958.
