BYD T7

In 2016 in Shenzhen, BYD showcased 2 prototypes of electric trucks: the T5 and T7. BYD T7 is the electric truck with a payload of 4.6 tonnes and GVW of 10.7 tonnes. The exterior design of the 3-seat cabin is similar to Isuzu Elf trucks. The only eyes catching feature is the chromed grille.

Interior is also very simple. It features the digital instrument panel with regular gauges and information display. Gearbox controller has only 3 buttons: R, N and D. BYD T7 is fitted with an electric motor rated at 150 kW and 550 Nm. The batteries are located between the front and rear axle on both sides of the chassis. Its capacity 175 kWh is enough to offer 250 km range for the truck. The T7 prototype is also equipped with ABS and ASR, as well as all-disk brakes.
