Avia A-series

In 1997, after gaining a majority stake in Daewoo, Avia has been developed and set into production the updated A-range, which was replaced old A21 Turbo/A31 Turbo. This was the last modernization of old Saviem range.

The range included models A60/65/70/75/80 with different payload. The vehicles had a completely new chassis fitted with a riveted frame, fixed front axle, front disk brakes, lesser wheels 205/75 – 17,50″ and D421 EURO II engines with the power of 76 kW and 85 kW.

The vehicles were fitted with a 5- or 6-speed gearbox. The cabs had a new interior (but it is already used on last modification of A31 with engine D 421 engine), advanced design and they were tilt cabs in the first line. Avia A60-A80 series were kept in production only until 2000, when it was replaced by a completely new D-range.
