American LaFrance Type 14

Since 1912 American LaFrance produced four- (Type 14-4) and six-cylinder (Type 14-6) ladder trucks. It had the ability to carry a full range of scaling ladders plus all of its original ladders and equipment which included a safety net that could be used to rescue persons who were trapped on upper floors.

There was also Type 14-20 (1915-??) ladder truck with Herschell-Spillman monoblock motor rated at 65 hp, Type 14-38 (1924-??) with 75 hp engine and Type 14-45 (1927-??) quad combination with 120 hp engine.
