American Truck Company built 6 wildland AWD engines on Tatra T815 chassis in 2003 for the US Bureau of Land Management; 3 were single cab pumpers like this, and 3 were crew cab trucks.
Each carries 2400 gallons (ca. 9 m³) of water and a full complement of brush fire equipment for use on wild lands of the western US. These engines can climb 100% slope (45 degrees) and drive up to 40 mph (ca. 64 km/h) on dirt or gravel roads. It has a Type III pump with an Odin CAFS and joystick controlled front mounted monitor. More fire trucks were made later.
