Ural Next Rally Raid

In 2016, the Ural Automobile Plant made several copies of the Ural-Next support vehicles for the “GAZ Raid Sport” rally raid racing team. They debuted at the “Silk Road 2016” rally raid.

The 6×6 chassis with an extended cab was used as a basis that got a van body with various equipment and a compartment for spare parts. The developers also made changes to the ECU of the YaMZ-536 diesel and transmission, so that the truck can now reach maximum speed up to 120 kph off-road.

Other improvements: foreign bearings and stronger gears of transfer case and axles, and chassis details of vacuum-melting steel with special heat treatment. Elements of the transmission were carefully balanced. Tires are Michelin.

The volume of fuel tanks is increased: now they contain 600 liters of diesel fuel.
