The heavy Atego range has a GVW from 18 to 26 tones. The trucks are equipped with 231 and 279 hp engines, 6-, 12- and 16-speed mechanical gearboxes or 5-speed automatic Allison gearboxes. The Atego is available with wheel configuration 4×2, 4×4, 6×2 and 6×4.

It is a reducing gear in a transfer gearbox, lockable differentials and planetary wheel reduction gears. Suspension uses parabolic and semi-elliptic leaf springs, pneumatic elements or combination variants.
