CERI Xiangtan Heavy Industry Equipment Co., Ltd. is established as a joint-stock enterprise on the original Mechanical and Electrical Branch Company of Xiangtan Steel Group by CERI and Xiangtan Steel Group by negotiation. It is a great measure for both sides to meet the market economy the requirements and pursue a long-term development.

Mechanical and Electrical Branch Company of Xiangtan Steel Group has a rich experience in manufacturing, repairing, installing and debugging non-standard mechanical equipment, large-scaled package of equipment, transformer (including special transformer), high low pressure complete set of panels and inversion welder in metallurgical industry, and in producing composite deoxygenate used in steelmaking as well as in high voltage electric maintenance service. The company will grow bigger and stronger rapidly after it combines the advantages of CERI in technical research and engineering contracting, of the original Mechanical and Electrical Branch Company in equipment processing and of Xiangtan Steel Group in the production.

In 2011 the company presented the China's first large-size mining dump truck HMTK-6000.
